Edible Austin Eat Drink Local Week 2014
December 6-13

The 8th annual Edible Austin Eat Drink Local Week (EDLW)  is upon us! EDLW celebrates local food with events designed to encourage support for farm-to-table restaurants and home cooking with local, seasonal ingredients. Proceeds from EDLW benefit the Sustainable Food Center and Urban Roots.

This year’s lineup:

Kick off for Eat Drink Local Week
Saturday, December 6, 10am
SFC Farmers Market – Downtown

Join Edible Austin for the kick off of Eat Drink Local week with a Proclamation by the City of Austin and a community picnic. Support the amazing local food artisans at the market and build yourself a locally foraged brunch spread, all taking place at the cafe tents by the music stage.

An Evening with Dan Barber
Monday, December 8, 7pm
Paramount Theater

Dan Barber will come to the Paramount Theatre to talk about his new book, “The Third Plate,” which moves beyond farm-to-table to offer a revolutionary way of eating. Musical guest Michael Fracasso will open the show and after the show enjoy a book signing and pop-up farmers market. Dan Barber is a world-renowned chef, winner of multiple James Beard awards and was named one of Time magazines 100 Most Influential People in the World. Tickets and more information here.

Harvest Dinner
Tuesday, December 9, 6:30pm
Palm Door

Enjoy a dinner from Pink Avocado Catering and Bread & Circus Supper Club in downtown Austin at the Plam Door. Dinner featuring a seasonal, local feast served family style. Purchase tickets and see full menu!

Five Days of Giveaways
December 8-12

Edible Austin will host a five-day social media giveaway with daily giveaways from a different local business, including Wayward Chocolat, JuiceLand, Royer’s Pie Haven, Blue Lux Fashion and more. Be sure you’re following #EDLW14 for the latest info!
